The singular difference between lab-created diamonds and mined diamonds is their origin. All of the aspects of a diamond, how it looks, its chemical composition, and its physical properties remain, while all of the bad parts - destructive mining and muddled ethics - are removed.
Lab grown and natural diamonds cannot be differentiated with the naked eye, even to a trained eye. Traditional jewelers' tools such as microscopes or loupes cannot detect the difference between a laboratory-grown diamond and a natural, mined diamond.
